Hell Day

Climbed over 4000 ft in constant cold rain and ended up accidentally taking the steeper path through the oldest birch forest in Europe. Oh darn! Well my spirit loved it but my knees, not so much. There was a food truck at the top selling coffee and cheese made from the local sheep. I missed some great shots not wanting to get my phone wet. Like the herd of huge French cows walking down the rode...you can hear the bells in the distance...a lovely sound.

Two camino angels drive a van up and down the rode, stopping to refill water bottles, say a prayer and give you a little bottle of Lourdes water.

Ended the day at the pilgrims mass, at the ancient monastery where we stayed and we all received a special blessing for our journey.
