What a difference a day makes

Yesterday was exhausting, as my fears and anxieties surfaced...what if my feet become too painful to walk, are these really the right boots? What if I miss my train? What if I can't communicate...I really haven't learned that much Spanish in spite of my efforts after all.
Will my husband be OK? Is this a selfish pursuit? What if I don't like my traveling companions? Am I running away from my problems? Should I just have taken a nice relaxing vacation at a spa somewhere? What is it I'm really looking for...you get the idea...on and on, ad nauseum my mind went...

But today is a new day, and once again I remember that I was "inspired" to take this journey and that has brought me to this place. I started reading The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho this morning, and opened to the page that said "don't lose sight of your objective...people like you who are fascinated by details and forget what they are after"....

As it is said, "you don't choose the Camino, the Camino chooses you."
