Day 6 Pamplona to Puente la Reina (24.4 km)

Very long hot day, climbing the Alto del Perdon (mountain of Pardon) where the wind turbines run along the ridge. It is an amazing feeling of energy. At the top is the metal pilgrim sculpture "where the path of the wind meets that of the stars". Grueling descent over rocky path was rewarded with a delicious meal of salad, garbanzo soup, vegetables, local fish, dessert and vino for 11.9 Euros. I exchanged some olive oil potato chips on the road with a Swedish couple for chocolate so dark it was barely sweet.
